RAYMOND OZOJI reports
APGA Apostles, a political group primarily established to win elections for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has expressed determination to conquer the entire state for Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo in the forthcoming November 8th governorship election.
National convener of the group Hon. Nchekwube Anthony Dunga who disclosed the group's strategic campaign programmes to HEADLINE NEWS in Awka, emphasized that APGA Apostles is ready to win all the 5,720 polling units across the state for the party and return Governor Soludo for a second term in office.
Dunga stated that the group will campaign radically in the 326 political wards of the state to ensure that APGA wins the governorship election with a very high margin, adding that they will campaign in all the local markets across the state in each of the four market days.
He said they will also do roadshows where they will preach what the Soludo led administration has done in three years and the need for continuity.
According to him, APGA Apostles is structured in a manner that they have polling unit chairmen and secretaries comprising 60 members in each of the polling units across Ćnambra State. That the 60 members in the polling units, when summed up with the 5,720 polling units will amount to reliable voters of about 3, 42000 votes for the party.
The APGA Apostles national convener stressed that their membership consists solely of eligible and active voters as the reason for the group is to ensure that APGA continues to win elections not just the governorship but also Senate, House of Representatives, House of Assembly and other elections.
Although he expressed concern that it has become normal that if the party wins governorship election, it will lose the Senate, lose in the House of Representatives and in the House of Assembly, adding that in the current state assembly APGA has about 20 out of the 30 members of the incumbent 8th assembly.
He therefore reiterated the fact that why APGA Apostles was set up by the national body was to ensure that the party has reliable followers who are also voters that will be voting for the party during elections.
