Security Is Returning To Ihiala -- Agbodike

Dr. Paschal Agbodike, the House of Representatives member representing Ihiala Federal Constituency at the National Assembly has observed that security is returning to Ihiala and that the constituency is also bouncing back to her normal life. 


Agbodike who made the observation while recounting his stewardship at the Green Chambers in the last two years during an exclusive interview with HEADLINE NEWS, said security has significantly improved in Ihiala Local Government Area judging from the relentless efforts of the present state government he said is working assiduously to ensure and guarantee the protection of lives and property in the council area. 


Agbodike who expressed profound gratitude to all well-meaning individuals who are fighting tooth and nail to see that Ihiala regains her lost glory, said he has executed a number of projects that had direct positive impacts on the lives of Ihiala people. 


The House of Representatives member stated that as part of efforts to ensure that security returned to Ihiala Local Government Area, he has donated Toyota Sienna vehicles and other security gadgets to increase surveillance in the council area. 


He said other projects ranged from infrastructure, education support, skill acquisition and empowerment programmes and a host of others.  The lawmaker stated that there are four political zones in Ihiala Local Government Area and his presence has been felt in all the zones. 


Agbodike stated his constituents are happy with his stewardship at the National Assembly because he has been able to deliver capital projects worth billions of naira in the last two years.


 That in the area of human capital development, he recently declared total scholarship for 500 individuals in Ihiala who want to acquire tertiary education in particular school and people, according to him, are already responding to the scholarship scheme from their various communities. 


The lawmaker said that prior to the declaration of scholarship for 500 students of Ihiala federal constituency, he had already doled out education support to 1000 constituents of Ihiala federal constituency studying in tertiary institutions across the country. He explained that the declaration of scholarship for 1000 constituents was the first of its kind in the history of Ihiala Local Government Area. 


Still on education, the lawmaker mentioned that Abbot Boys Secondary School N1.5 Billion project is currently ongoing, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University gigantic 8 classroom block ongoing as well as so many classroom blocks at Uli, Okija, Amorka, Azia and some other places have been completed, furnished and handed over to the respective school authorities. 


Apart from educational endowments, Agbodike revealed that he also done agricultural empowerments, gave out sewing machines, grinding machines, laptop computers and other empowerment materials to improve on the living conditions of the people. 


In the realm of infrastructural development, the lawmaker stated that Orlu road project is ongoing, Ezego road project completed and that two kilometer road is currently ongoing in his hometown Mbosi courtesy of his representation at the National Assembly. 


Agbodike therefore thanked the APGA family and the people of Ihiala for their unwavering support in making sure that his sojourn to the Green Chambers is worthwhile even as he assured them of more democracy dividends in the second half of his tenure.
