RAYMOND OZOJI reports

Mrs. Soludo who stated this at the Mothers' Wellness Summit organized by Women Initiative for Greater Anambra (WIGA) at the Prof. Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre Awka on Friday, maintained that her husband's love and affection for the women folk knows no boundaries judging from the numerous welfare packages his government has provided for them.

The first lady maintained that her husband has demonstrated his love for the women through the declaration of free antenatal services for pregnant women, free child delivery services, free immunization and a host of other free packages as it concerned their health and wellness coupled with sensitization campaigns on healthy living.

The first lady noted that a 4 year old girl who was defiled by a rapist pastor in Idemili-North Local Government Area was one out of the many cases her husband's government has intervened since inception inorder to protect women and young girls from marauding elements in the society.

She equally mentioned a particular case where a woman gave birth to twin babies that were put in the incubator for them to survive. Mrs. Soludo said ordinarily the woman and her family would have spent about N6 Million for the hospital bills but her husband came to the rescue and the woman didn't pay a dime but went home with her babies in utter consternation.

Mrs. Soludo also told her fellow women that her husband has displayed unbridled love and care for them in his free education policy to enable children of the poorest of the poor attend school without tears and much difficulties. According to her, the free education policy has enabled mothers especially indigent mothers afford quality education for their children.
