A former Commissioner for Women Affairs in Anambra State Lady Ndidi Mezue has observed that Ebonyi indigenes are the ones terrorising Anambra citizens.
Mezue who made the observation while making few remarks at a Mothers' Wellness Summit organized by Women Initiative for Greater Anambra (WIGA) held at the Prof. Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre Awka at the weekend, noted that Ebonyi indigenes had greater number in arrested criminal suspects.
Although she was worried about the situation but equally expressed deep concern that Anambra indigenes were accomplices to the terror and mayhem being unleashed on the citizenry. She opined that indigenes of the state played informants to non-indigenes who in turn perpetrated heinous crimes in the state.
The former Women Affairs Commissioner however commended Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo for his sterling efforts in combating insecurity, saying his efforts are indeed yielding positive results.
She also urged mothers at the summit to be watchful and vigilant in their respective communities as the war against crimes and criminalities in Anambra State is a collective responsibility.
