Aguata 1 Constituency Has No Space For Kidnappers -- Lawmaker

RAYMOND OZOJI reports

The lawmaker representing Aguata 1 state constituency in the 8th legislature of Anambra State Hon. Anayo Okpalaeke says his constituency has no space for kidnappers and all manner of criminal elements.

Okpalaeke who hails from Achina in Aguata Local Government Area, maintained that his community can not accommodate unknown persons because they have a law which stipulated that every visitor must be properly profiled and scrutinized before he or she is allowed to stay in the community.

He said most communities in Aguata do not have kidnappers' camps because there are no lands to house them. That most of the pockets of criminalities they suffered were perpetrated by elements from nearby local governments or nearby states because Aguata is on the border between Imo and Abia states.

He said Governor Soludo should be commended for responding to the yearnings of Ndi-Anambra through the introduction of the Agunechemba and Operation Udo Ga Achi special intervention force, noting that there is watertight security in the state now.

The lawmaker therefore restated the need for the governor to be appreciated because according to him, Anambra has never had it so good in the past years, stressing that the governor has restored peace and made Anambra State fit for habitations.
