Soludo Support Group (SSG), a flagship organisation which fought tooth and nail with its grassroots structures in the 326 political wards of Anambra State to ensure the election of Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo as Governor, has declared total and unflinching support for all the candidates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the forthcoming September 28 Local Government Elections.
The declaration which was made through a voice vote at Maybond hotel Awka, had SSG members promising all the Barr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa led national leadership APGA candidates in the upcoming LG Elections that SSG would deploy all its structures to ensure that APGA mayors, Deputy mayors and councilors win in all the 21 local government areas as well as the 326 political wards of the state.
The Convener and National Coordinator of Soludo Support Group (SSG) Hon. Chief Chinedu Nwoye Glamour, who presided over an elaborate meeting with the candidates at Maybond hotel Awka said the meeting was to enjoin SSG members to support all APGA candidates for the LG Elections.
Nwoye who explained that Soludo Support Group primarily supports and endorses whatever Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo stands for, maintained that SSG decided to adopt and support the Barr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa led national leadership APGA candidates because they are the choice of the governor.
He therefore emphasized that the meeting was convened for Soludo Support Group (SSG) to endorse the 21 local government APGA candidates contesting in the incoming council polls in the state.
Nwoye who also functions as the State Chief Protocol Officer and Deputy Chief of Staff, said all SSG members have been mandated to go to their respective local government areas and mobilize support for all APGA candidates from ward to the local government level, stressing that SSG has unanimously endorsed all the candidates for landslide victory in the September 28 Anambra Council Polls.
Earlier in his remarks, Deputy national coordinator of Soludo Support Group (SSG) Chief Chigozie Awugosi, recalled that SSG was the support group that ensured the realization of Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo's governorship ambition in 2021.
Awugosi noted that the meeting was called to task SSG local government and ward coordinators to replicate the 2021 governorship electoral conquest in the 21 council areas of the state and wards by working assiduously at the grassroots to deliver APGA candidates.
Ozo Obi Ochijie who is a stalwart of the SSG family in the state and a stronghold of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Awka-South Local Government Area, also assured all APGA candidates that SSG would penetrate the grassroots for their sake and and ensure that they are all delivered successfully in the September 28 Anambra Local Government Polls.
Meanwhile Nnewi-South APGA chairmanship candidate Hon. Van-George Ezeogidi, his Orumba-North and Idemili-South counterparts all thanked Soludo Support Group for declaring 100% support for them, assuring that they won't fall short of expectations if eventually elected.
