Ocha-Brigade ASATU Marshals To Enforce Environmental Cleanliness In Anambra Communities

The Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra (Ocha-Brigade ) is set to partner the Anambra State Association of Town Unions (ASATU) to enforce campaign on environmental cleanliness in all the 179 communities of the state. 

Disclosing the initiative to HEADLINE NEWS in his office at Agu-Awka, the Managing Director Mr. Celestine Anere said it has become very pertinent to take the message of healthy environment to various communities in the state. 

Anere said Ocha-Brigade in conjunction with ASATU will in no distant time unleash what he termed Ocha-Brigade ASATU Marshals who will replicate  operations of the agency in the hinterlands. 

He said his agency will have about 20 Ocha-Brigade ASATU marshals in every community which will help to prevent all manner of abuse on the environment. 

That Ocha-Brigade will use  PGs of the communities and their various security networks to achieve their objective even as he also mentioned that his agency will come up with programmes to reward communities with the most clean healthy environment. 

Anere stated that primarily Ocha-Brigade is targeting the youths to come and join the agency in their efforts to ensure a clean healthy environment in the entire state.
