High Chief Hamilton Emeka Ezeonu has revealed how Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo inspired as well as motivated him to replicate the governor's Dubai-Taiwan Mantra in his country home Nnobi Idemili-South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Ezeonu who holds the Special Chieftaincy title of Ikemba Nnobi due to his uncommon philanthropy and generosity to his community and humanity in general, said at the commissioning of his Ikemba Nnobi Boulevard and a road he constructed by Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, the need to support and complement government efforts in uplifting and ameliorating sufferings of the people can not be overemphasized because government he believes can not shoulder the responsibilities alone.
The US-based vibrant young man who described his wife Thelma Ezeonu as the Rock and Pillar of his success before the governor and the rest of Ndi-Anambra, assured the governor that Nnobi will be synonymous with his Dubai-Taiwan Think Home Philosophy as he plans to galvanise over 50 Nnobians around the globe who have amassed wealth like him to come home and make Nnobi another Dubai in Africa even as he announced the celebration of Nnobi Day in June next year.
Ezeonu who made it crystal clear while addressing the mammoth crowd that graced the commissioning ceremony that he is not a politician and that his service to humanity has no political underpinnings, maintained that private individuals who have the wherewithal can undertake community development projects and programmes in line with the pressing needs of the people as aptly exemplified in the road he constructed, his monumental investments at Nnobi General Hospital, his Boulevard which will employ Nnobi people and Anambra citizens at large together with other philanthropic gestures to his credit.
Ezeonu recalled that Governor Soludo inspired him with his Dubai-Taiwan Philosophy during his electioneering campaigns when he promised Ndi-Anambra that he would replicate Dubai-Taiwan infrastructural standards in Anambra if elected governor. Ikemba Nnobi therefore noted that Governor Soludo has made good his promise to Ndi-Anambra through the spread of infrastructure across the entire state.
Although he reiterated that he was not a politician but he is supporting the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) because he has taken time to study Governor Soludo's policies and found out that they were laudable policies and the need to support the government in realizing the policies can not be overstressed; assuring the governor that he would come to Nnobi to commission more projects.
Governor Soludo who commissioned the projects instituted by High Chief Hamilton Emeka Ezeonu (Ikemba Nnobi) acknowledged investments made at Nnobi General Hospital by Ikemba Nnobi and his wife, saying that the couple were not only investing in the future of Nnobi community but also investing in the future of Anambra state.
Soludo also pointed out that the road constructed by High Chief Hamilton Emeka Ezeonu would be one of the legacies posterity would remember him for. The governor further stated that the renovations and investments at Nnobi General Hospital, provision of portable drinking water and other social amenities by Ikemba Nnobi and his wife to Nnobi community would be enduring legacies because the governor believes that silver and gold would pass away but legacies last for a lifetime as evidently portrayed in High Chief Hamilton Emeka Ezeonu's philanthropic gestures.
Idemili-South Transition Committee Chairman Hon. Mrs. Amaka Obi, who highlighted impact of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo's transformational leadership agenda in the council area, stressed that it is now clear to all and sundry that Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo is indeed the solution to Anambra's developmental quagmire.
Obi said Idemili-South is a great beneficiary of the Solution Government and the people have wholeheartedly pledged unalloyed support to the Soludo administration because of his commitment to change the old narrative of the state with his Dubai-Taiwan paradigm shift in infrastructure and otherwise.
Obi also acknowledged the inestimable cum very significant contributions of High Chief Hamilton Emeka Ezeonu to the development as well as upliftment of Nnobi community, describing Ikemba Nnobi as a man with a very large heartand one who also believes in human capital development while reaching out to other well-meaning and well-to-do Idemili-South indigenes to borrow a leaf from High Chief Hamilton Emeka Ezeonu's philanthropy and help to develop their respective communities and towns.
The commissioning ceremony of Ikemba Nnobi Boulevard, Water Project, Road Project and others which was attended by the Acting Vice Chancellor of the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Professor Kate Azuka Omenugha an Nnobi indigene, Commissioner for Culture, Tourism and Entertainment Mr. Don Onyenji an indigene of Akwa-Ukwu, Special Adviser to Governor Soludo on Youth Empowerment Dr. Nelson Omenugha also an Nnobi indigene coupled with other high profile individuals, was an epoch-making event worthy of emulation by well-to-do public spirited individuals as captured in Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo's Public-Private-Community-Partnership Scheme( PPCP).
