It was jubilation galore at Amagu village Ajali Orumba-North Local Government Area of Anambra State as the Deputy Chairman of the Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Health and lawmaker representing Orumba-North state constituency Mazi Paul Obu doled out more constituency empowerment materials to constituents who apparently couldn't hold back their gratitude on their faces.
Obu who had empowered his constituents with Point of Sales machines together with N50,000 seed capital each and other life-changing materials for self-employment purposes, recently doled out another set of empowerment materials worth millions of naira to his constituents as part of activities marking his two years in office.
Obu while addressing beneficiaries of his empowerment scheme and Orumba-North people who thronged his country home in Amagu village Ajali, said he would continue to provide quality representation for his people because they all unanimously entrusted their mandate on him, assuring that he will not fail them nor relent in addressing the most pressing developmental needs in the constituency.
He said, " I am grateful you elected me to represent you in the 8th assembly. My empowerment initiatives are the fulfillment of my campaign promises to you all. I will continue to do my best as i enter the second half of my tenure as your representative in the state assembly. "
The Deputy Chairman of the House of Assembly Committee on Health recalled that he had also embarked on a statewide medical mission where Orumba-North not only benefitted but Orumba-South and other parts of the state also benefitted from his constituency medical outreach programme.
The lawmaker said seven medical experts from the United States of America were involved in the exercise and that the medical mission cost him over N20 million of his personal money to achieve it, stressing that it was a comprehensive healthcare programme for his constituents and Ndi-Anambra in general.
He therefore assured his people of his commitment to their welfare as well as more constituency dividends, emphasizing that they are his first priority in the legislature.
Meanwhile beneficiaries of Mazi Paul Obu's constituency empowerment programme who got grinding machines, motorcycles and others, extolled his style of stewardship, saying that they have never had it so good because he is touching their lives in the most remarkable way different from his predecessors and years of poor representation.
