RAYMOND OZOJI reports

A chieftain of the Action Alliance (AA) , who hails from Ubahuekwem in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, Chief Chizoba Nnamdi Azikiwe Ogunede, has stated that Ihiala local government needs watertight security to be safe and habitable for the people.

Ogunede who spoke to HEADLINE NEWS exclusively regarding the security situation in Ihiala, maintained that more security posts are required at strategic points to fully combat insecurity in the council area.

The AA chieftain observed that at the moment there are no security posts at Ezego junction, Tobisco junction, Okija junction, Total filling station junction by Orlu road, Ubuluisiuzo junction and a host of other strategic places where criminals could gain access into the council area for their nefarious activities.

He said Ihiala needs adequate security coverage to be free from the treachery and ferocious acts of bloodthirsty hoodlums terrorising the local government area.

According to him, the security situation in Ihiala Local Government is not yet uhuru but believes that if the state government does the needful, security of lives and property would greatly improve, emphasizing that security is needed in all the nooks and crannies of Ihiala local government area.

Ogunede who described the AA governorship candidate for the November 8th gubernatorial polls in the state, Ozo Jeff Nweke as a man of the people, opined that Ozo Jeff Nweke will provide better security for Ihiala people and the entire state because he is a security expert who restored security in Awka and owns a world-class security outfit  called Blueshield Security.
