Solution Marshals Will Ensure Nobody Hijacks Anambra Governorship Election -- Group

Anambra state foremost grassroots mobilisation group known as Solution Marshals has declared its readiness for the November 8th governorship election where it plans to conquer all the 326 political wards and over 5000 polling units in the state for Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo. 


The group's readiness was the crux of the matter as over 2000 marshals converged at the Professor Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre Awka for a strategic meeting with the 21 APGA local government chairmen and 326 ward chairmen; where all declared in one accord that any attempt to rig the forthcoming governorship election would be resisted while ensuring peaceful conduct of the poll.


The group through their principal officers made it crystal clear that Governor Soludo's reelection is non-negotiable whether the opposition elements like it or not. 


The Solution Marshals strategic meeting which was attended by the State chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra Chief Barr. Ifeatu Obi-Okoye and other dignitaries, was a veritable platform for the marshals and APGA ward and local government executives to plan, synergize as well as strategize for victory. 


The State Marshal General Chief Barr. Titus Nnabuike Akpudo said that the meeting was convened for the marshals to work with the party structure to ensure that the governorship election is peaceful, free, fair and credible.


Akpudo stated that Solution Marshals will ensure that nobody attempts to hijack the election or to cause problems, stressing that they are ready to maintain peace in the election. He also added that Solution Marshals are ready to counter every war in the election with peaceful movements. 


Comrade Osita Obi, the coordinator of the transport sector of the Solution Marshals maintained that the group want the governorship election to be conducted orderly and the outcome announced publicly, adding that if it is done in an orderly manner, then Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo will win meritoriously. 


Obi emphasized that Solution Marshals are sending warning signals that if people want to rig the governorship election, they will stop them because such won't be tolerated at all. 


Also the Solution Field Marshal of the Solution Marshals and Managing Director of the Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra (OCHA-Brigade ) Chief Celestine Anere maintained that the group is very intentional and focussed on the reelection of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo. 


Anere equally stated that it is the intention of the group that their members will be in every polling unit across the state and they will be protected when they are voting to ensure that nobody harasses or intimidates any APGA member on November 8th, 2025. 


He emphasized that Solution Marshals will have physical presence in every polling unit in the state and he is optimistic that the group will ensure that APGA wins all the polling units in the state. 


The OCHA-Brigade boss who stated that Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo is not contesting the election with anybody, said that the group will soon endorse the governor properly after which they will embark on local government and ward tours where they would campaign vigorously for the governor's reelection. 


Onitsha-North APGA chairman and coordinator of APGA party chairmen in Anambra State Hon. Okwudili Maduekwe, noted that the party attached a lot of seriousness to the meeting with Solution Marshals judging from the attendance of party executives, adding that they would work together to actualise the governor's reelection. 


Representative of the Deputy Governor at the strategic meeting Hon. Ekenechukwu Okoye who is the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo on Boundary Matters, described the meeting as a well thought-out strategy to go for the November 8th governorship election, stressing that the intention is to build a collaboration between the party structure and the Solution Marshals. 


On her part, the State Mother-General of the Solution Marshals and Commissioner for Special Duties Hon. Beverly Nkemdiche Ikpeazu, tasked the marshals to ensure that they stationed themselves in every polling unit on the day of the election to enable them to achieve the governor's second term reelection while the Marshal Superior and Majority Leader of the 8th assembly Hon. Chief Ikenna Ofodeme opined that they are special personnel who will not just vote and walk way but will vote and protect their votes and those of other voters from collation to the point where results will be announced publicly.
