Nnewi-South Chairman Inaugurates Osumenyi Security Management, Finance Committee

The Executive Chairman of Nnewi-South Local Government Area of Anambra State, Hon.Van-George Chinedu Ezeogidi has inaugurated Osumenyi Security Management and Finance Committee, as part of efforts to enhance community engagement in local security. 


Ezeogidi who performed the inaugural ceremony at the Osumenyi Unity Hall in the council area at the weekend, charged the team to discharge their duties and obligations with due diligence and unwavering commitment to the security and safety of Osumenyi town as provided in the Anambra State Homeland Security Law. 


The inauguration was well attended by committee members, various community representatives and local security personnel as the Mayor emphasized the critical role of community participation in security as contained in the state law. 


The Chairman therefore commended the people of Osumenyi for taking swift action to establish the committee and for their alignment with the directives of the state government.


He equally seized the opportunity to applaud Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo (CFR) for his dedication to security, which he said has significantly curtailed criminal activities throughout Anambra State.


He also encouraged the newly inaugurated committee members to approach their responsibilities with commitment, transparency, and integrity inorder to effectively security as well as protect the community from criminal elements. 


Amongst those present at the inauguration exercise were members of the committee so constituted , as well as the leadership of Osumenyi Development Union led by Engr Victor Ojiugo , Chairman of the committee , Chief Emeka Nwosu(Eselu Osumenyi ), Hon Nwawulu (SPAD )to the Executive Chairman on Homeland and Community Affairs.


Ezeogidi said, " With this inauguration, we have reaffirmed our administration’s commitment to partnering with the Osumenyi community in our collective mission to enhance local security and create a safer environment for all."
