What transpired at Ihiala Local Government Headquarters on Wednesday 23rd April 2025 where over 3000 Nigerians gathered at the council secretariat amidst watertight security for the mega constituency engagement of the federal legislator representing Ihiala Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives Abuja showed that Rt. Hon. Dr. Paschal Arinzechukwu Agbodike is gathering more momentum by the day and indeed coasting towards monumental conquest as the Anambra-South bye-election beckons.
Judging from the engagement, it was clear as crystal that Agbodike's humane and compassionate disposition is what the people yearn for at the Red Chambers.
The people therefore extolled his non-discriminatory representative model and leadership style because rather than limit his mega constituency empowerment programme to only beneficiaries from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Agbodike borrowed a leaf from Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo's philosophy of One Anambra, One People, One Agenda and ensured that Nigerians living in Ihiala Local Government Area benefitted from his multi-million naira constituency largesse.
It was indeed a festival of sort as they declared Paschal Agbodike their own preferred candidate for the Anambra-South senatorial seat and in one accord devoid of dissenting voices that they will vote him overwhelmingly for him to extend his servant-leadership model to the Senate as they unanimously concurred that the reward for good work is more work.
The crowd of beneficiaries confessed that it was not the first time Honourable Paschal Agbodike is putting smiles on their faces in the midst of daunting hardships and acute hunger in the country.
That the constituency empowerment of Wednesday 23rd April 2025 where they got sewing and grinding machines, laptop computers and printers, bags of food items including security vehicles, was the 7th time the House of Representatives member is showcasing undiluted compassion, benevolence and generosity to Nigerians in Ihiala Local Government Area of the state.
Hence the jubilant crowd sang solidarity songs showcasing their unalloyed support for his senatorial ambition as they testified that he has proven himself as a rare personality with the milk of human kindness and inexplicable humanistic disposition which are essential ingredients and indispensable qualities of someone seeking to represent Anambra-South senatorial zone in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Numerous households, schools, journalists and many others from various segments of the society benefited from the mega constituency empowerment programme of Rt. Hon. Paschal Agbodike as they rejoiced and danced gleefully in profound gratitude and appreciation to him, assuring him that the entire Ihiala Local Government Area is solidly behind him in the incoming Anambra-South senatorial bye-election contest.
They all chorused that it is the turn of Ihiala Local Government Area to represent Anambra-South senatorial zone at the Senate and that the most suitable person to entrust their mandate with is Rt. Hon. Dr. Paschal Arinzechukwu Agbodike because he has completely earned their trust and confidence with his non-discriminatory stewardship at the Green Chambers of the National Assembly.
Agbodike while speaking with journalists on the import of his epoch-making constituency empowerment programme, stated categorically that it is contained in his manifesto to give Ihiala quality and efficient representation in line with the programmes of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and in line with what the governor Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo is doing in the state.
Agbodike informed that it is the 7th time he is doing an empowerment programme for citizens of Ihiala federal constituency and he would continue to do such empowerment programmes to continue to put smiles on the faces of the people as well as alleviate their sufferings.
He said, " Look at the faces of my people; they are happy and even expecting more. So by next month, I shall come with another empowerment programme. I am not perturbed by the hardship in the country rather it is my duty to work day and night to make sure that I bring most of those things am giving them from Abuja.
So our governor is doing well and myself as an individual will keep doing well in supporting the programmes of the governor. APGA is known for good governance and that we are poised to do. So our people are grateful to me. They are grateful to APGA. They are grateful to the governor and we shall keep providing quality leadership to them."
The federal legislator who stated that APGA has the yearnings of the people at heart, maintained that the party can not see the cry of the people and shy away from it. He was of the opinion that some politicians may have and would not want to give but he believes very strongly that God will continue to provide for him so he would continue to help humanity.
He said apart from the distribution of many modern laptop computers, printers, sewing and grinding machines, educational materials, bags of rice, bags of garri and other empowerment items, he equally donated Toyota Sienna vehicles for security operations in Ihiala amongst other numerous interventions.
Agbodike therefore made it categorically clear that APGA Ihiala Local Government Area has endorsed him to go for Senate to represent Anambra-South senatorial district in line with what he is doing in Ihiala federal constituency, stressing that it is the turn of Ihiala to go to the Red Chambers and that the people are supporting him massively to ensure his senatorial ambition comes to fruition.
