Agbodike Fulfills Promise To Ekwulobia Catholic Diocese, Begins Fencing Of Site For Welfare Home Project, To Build Multimillion Naira Staff Quarters

The Honourable member representing Ihiala federal constituency at the National Assembly Abuja Rt. Hon. Dr. Paschal Arinzechukwu Agbodike has fulfilled his promise of undertaking the perimeter fencing and building of a befitting staff quarters for the proposed welfare home of the Ekwulobia Catholic Diocese Aguata Local Government Area of the state. 

Agbodike who spoke to HEADLINE NEWS exclusively about the projects, said the fencing of the site for the welfare home project has commenced and that the contractor handling it has been mobilised 100% to ensure that there is no delay whatsoever, adding that the fencing project is costing him about N15 Million. 

Agbodike equally disclosed that the building of the staff quarters which will cost him about N100 Million will commence in due course because he believes that the welfare home which he described as a laudable initiative of the Ekwulobia Catholic Diocese will serve the needs of Nigerians living in Anambra state. 

Agbodike who is the cynosure of the Anambra-South electoral contest, said his motivation for undertaking to fence as well as donate a befitting staff quarters for the welfare home, said it was out of his love for humanity that he decided to contribute his token to the establishment of the welfare home. 

He described old age as a very delicate stage in one's life and that such periods required all the love and care one could get especially when children are far away as welfare homes, according to him, are veritable alternatives for the aged and the elderly to obtain such care and attention. 

Agbodike maintained that the fencing of the site for the proposed welfare home of the Ekwulobia Catholic Diocese will be going on simultaneously with the N1.5 Billion Abbot Boys Smart School project in Ihiala, construction of a gigantic multipurpose  lecture theatre at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Uli campus amongst other capital projects in Ihiala federal constituency courtesy of his regime. 

He said he has completed and delivered a massive bungalow to Okija Grammar School; completed and delivered a  massive and well furnished six classroom blocks to Central Primary School Uli while Amorka and Azia school projects will be delivered in the next two weeks. 

Agbodike who emphasized that he was not doing projects with any allocations, stressed that he was elected into office to attract government to addressing basic fundamentals in tandem with the most pressing needs of the people. 

According to him, about a hundred and twelve million would be spent on both the fencing and building of staff quarters for the Ekwulobia Catholic Diocese welfare home. He therefore reiterated the fact that his intervention was not in the area of providing a church hall or an auditorium but a welfare home that will service Ndi-Anambra in the long run. 

He emphasized that the welfare home when completed will serve every Anambra citizen irrespective of religious denominations. Agbodike who stressed that he did not make a cash donation to Ekwulobia Catholic Diocese for the building of the welfare home, opined that he only offered to do the fencing and also donate a befitting staff quarters as a token of his humble contributions to the church in uplifting humanity through the proposed Ekwulobia Welfare Centre.
