RAYMOND OZOJI reports
The Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA) has responded to the deplorable state of internal roads within Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital Amaku Awka, Awka-South Local Government Area of the state.
Inspecting the ongoing re-asphalting of internal roads within the hospital, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ACTDA Hon. Osita David Onuko, told newsmen that the state governor Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo in keeping to his promise of giving Ndi-Anambra a world class health sector that is competitive and also serve the needs of the people, said they were rehabilitating and regenerating the hospital to make it fit for purpose.
Onuko stated that ACTDA is re-asphalting all the existing roads within the hospital as most of the roads were badly affected by potholes. He said that the overall objective was to give the hospital a facelift befitting for its status.
Onuko said that apart from the re-asphalting of internal roads within Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital Amaku Awka coupled with other structures being erected for enhanced service delivery, the ACTDA boss stated that other hospitals across the state were receiving their fair share of attention from the state government as evident in the five general hospitals built in Anambra-North and well-equipped for comprehensive healthcare delivery.
