Abbot Boys Secondary School Ihiala, one of the premier secondary schools in Anambra State is set to become the best secondary school in the state following a N1.5 Billion capital project attracted to the school by the House of Representatives member representing Ihiala Federal Constituency at the National Assembly Rt. Hon. Dr. Paschal Arinzechukwu Agbodike.
Abbot Boys Secondary School Ihiala is currently being reconstructed by the federal lawmaker to become a Smart School where students would obtain hands-on technological skills from cradle aside their normal routine classroom activities as it is done in developed countries across the globe.
Speaking to HEADLINE NEWS about the metamorphosis at Abbot Boys Secondary School Ihiala courtesy of his interventions, Agbodike stated that the school which has produced great men should not be abandoned to its fate to suffer acute infrastructural decay and neglect. Hence he decided to intervene to restore the glory and essence of the school.
Agbodike emphasized that when works are completed in the school, Abbot Boys will not only be the best secondary school but the envy of all schools in Anambra State because he is intentional about making Abbot Boys Secondary School Ihiala a smart school, one of its kind in the state.
Agbodike who said that such smart schools can only be seen only one per state because of its uniqueness and quality, maintained that by the time work is completed in the school, no school in Anambra State will compete with Abbot Boys Secondary School Ihiala in terms of modern facilities and quality of learning.
He also told HEADLINE NEWS that the Abbot Boys capital project was one out of the many capital projects he has attracted to Ihiala federal constituency from the National Assembly in just a year and six months in office.
According to him, Ezego road construction, new building project at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Uli campus, construction of Ihiala-Orlu road, construction and reconstruction works in all the schools in Ihiala federal constituency and a host of others are some of the capital projects he brought to Ihiala within the 2024 budget cycle; promising to accelerate actions in the 2025 budget year as he believes that Ihiala federal constituency deserves nothing but the best of efficient and equitable representation at the National Assembly.
