The newly inaugurated special intervention force in Anambra State tagged Operation Udo Ga Achi Security Outfit is said to be waxing stronger and yielding positive results in Ihiala Local Government Area following the clampdown on daredevil criminal insurgents by personnel of the special strike force.
The lawmaker representing Ihiala 2 state constituency in the state assembly Hon. Golden Chukwuebuka Iloh, who hails from Okija community told this journalist that with the onslaught launched on criminal elements in Ihiala, places like Lilu, Osumoghu, Isseke, Mbosi and other communities in Ihiala are beginning to have some breathe of fresh air because government, according to him, is not relenting this time but very decisive and resolute in flushing criminal elements out of Ihiala.
Although Iloh observed that the war against insecurity was not a noise-making process, he expressed delight that the Udo Ga Achi security operation is making inroads in Ihiala and that the people are hopeful of a positive change going forward even as he thanked Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo profoundly for appointing Prince Ken Emeakayi an Ihiala indigene as Special Adviser on Community Security.
Iloh stated that the appointment of Prince Ken Emeakayi was timely because he believes Emeakayi is well grounded in homeland security issues and has also been in the forefront of fighting insecurity in Ihiala and the entire state since his appointment.
Also the Executive Chairman of Ihiala Local Government Area Hon. Engr. Anayochukwu Ojiakor corroborated what Iloh said about security returning to Ihiala. Ojiakor noted that the local government authority is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the Udo Ga Achi special intervention force achieved its aim in Ihiala inorder to liberate it from the tutelage of criminals.
The Ihiala LG boss maintained that the newly enacted Homeland Security Law would be enforced to the latter in Ihiala and that any violation would meet stern repercussions, stressing that peace must prevail in Ihiala while thanking the governor for the enactment and introduction of the Homeland Security Law to help realize the vision and mission of a peaceful, liveable, lovable and prosperous homeland for all and sundry in the state.
