Criminals Can't Stop Anambra From Growing --- Glamour

RAYMOND OZOJI reports

As government declares unending war against kidnappers, cultists, drug peddlers, drug addicts, fake native doctors and other daredevils terrorizing the citizenry following the launch of Operation Udo Ga Achi security framework and Agunechemba respectively, the State Chief of Protocols and Deputy Chief of Staff Chief Chinedu Nkemakonam Nwoye Glamour has stated unequivocally that criminals can not stop Anambra State from growing and developing in all spheres of her corporate existence.

Glamour who spoke to HEADLINE NEWS said Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has reaffirmed his commitment towards the protection of lives and property in the state with the introduction of a multi-faceted comprehensive technologically based security approach to addressing security lapses in the state.

He explained that Operation Udo Ga Achi is about the communities taking ownership of the security situation in their respective domains as the governor has distributed about 200 smart security vehicles, trained and deployed about 2000 security personnel to communities and equally assured the people that Anambra will win the war against those who have set up criminal enterprise in the forests and bushes.

Glamour noted that the attraction is on Anambra State because an average Anambra person is rich or his relatives are rich which according to him is why criminal elements feast on the people. He said Anambra people are not lazy but very industrious, innovative and resilient in their legitimate endeavours.

He however emphasized that insecurity will be a thing of the past as government is determined to salvage the situation and rescue Anambra from non-state actors, restating that criminals and opposition elements can't stop Anambra from growing and developing in all spheres of her corporate existence.

The Deputy Chief of Staff who disclosed that Governor Soludo is not only addressing security lapses in the state but equally addressing critical infrastructure as seen in the transformations on roads and other amenities. He said the governor is dualising all the Trunk A roads in the state viz Amawbia-Uga dual carriage lane and Agulu-Nnewi-Nnobi-Ozubulu-Okija dual carriage lane for the first phase.

That the second phase of road dualisation project will be from Nnobi-Nkpor dual carriage lane while the third phase will be from Nnobi-Ekwulobia-Umunze-Ihite dual carriage lane, stressing that Anambra State is growing by the day; that criminals and some opposition elements can not stop her.

The governor's aide maintained that Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo has done a lot in less than two years and ten months in office awarding 658.421 kilometers of roads and completing 368 kilometers, asphalted and marked.

He said that the governor's achievements in human capital development, health, education and other sectors can not be overemphasized because the governor has built five modern general hospitals in Anambra-North senatorial district, awarded five bridges and completed two, handled flood and erosion control drastically, recruited 8,115 teachers, building 22 smart schools across the 21 Local Government Areas and currently recruiting more workers in the Ministry of Health, adding that the governor is firing from all cylinders and neither the opposition nor criminals can stop him.
