Any Opposition Campaigning With Insecurity Is A Criminal Suspect --- Glamour

RAYMOND OZOJI reports

With less than 24 hours to the official launch of Operation Udo Ga Achi comprehensive security network in Anambra, State Chief of Protocols and Deputy Chief of Staff Chief Chinedu Nkemakonam Nwoye Glamour has made it categorically clear that any opposition campaigning with insecurity is a criminal suspect and will be held as an accomplice.

Glamour has also observed that desperate politicians and disgruntled opposition elements are now paying social media influencers, content creators and skit makers to demarket Anambra which they aspire to govern and administer, if elected.

Glamour who told HEADLINE NEWS that the security situation in Anambra State is not as worst as enemies of the state showcase it in their speeches and contents of their emissaries of rifts, challenged them to come up with viable solutions to the menace rather than wallow in campaigns of calumny and hate speeches against the government in power.

Governor Soludo's chief protocol officer therefore stated unequivocally that it is rather unfortunate that opposition elements have persistently capitalized on the security situation in the state to discredit the present state government and also encouraged and escalated insecurity through their actions and body languages.

He said that the oppositions have done nothing positive to ameliorate the situation instead they only come to the open to vilify and rubbish the efforts of the governor in addressing security problems in the state.

He reiterated that anybody campaigning with insecurity instead of finding lasting solutions to it is an accomplice to it.

According to him, the oppositions fuelling insecurity with their felonious speeches have not gone to their respective communities to donate even a bicycle for security patrols or helped in a more philanthropic manner to guarantee safety and security of lives and property in spite of the fact that Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has been preaching and emphasizing on Public Private Community Partnership (PPCP) rather their stock-in-trade is to attack and condemn the governor at every slightest opportunity.

Glamour stressed that it is not enough to come to the open to make noise about insecurity as many claimed that the people would be alive to use the roads, bridges and other social amenities Governor Soludo is providing.

That the bone of contention remains that the opposition should also state publicly what they have done to not just improve on the security situation in the state but also what they have done to improve on the living conditions of their immediate communities through government's public private community partnership model.

He said Okija and Lilu communities in Ihiala Local Government Area have faced the security situation in their domains squarely through government's PPCP and it is currently yielding positive results while some disgruntled elements will sit comfortably in their offices in Abuja and cast aspersions on the governor unnecessarily and asking him to resign.

He said those asking the governor to resign do not have anything to offer but to play politics with the lives of Ndi-Anambra. The Deputy Chief of Staff however posited that government will purge insecurity out of Anambra State and that all it takes is cooperation and collaboration from the general public to totally win the war against insecurity in the state.

According to Glamour, the launch of Operation Udo Ga Achi comprehensive security approach is a proactive measure adopted to show that government meant business when it declared that insecurity will end and citizens will witness a new era of public order as he is optimistic that peace must prevail in Anambra State.

He said government is set to launch about 170 security vehicles to be given to various communities, security personnel trained to be deployed to communities to help fight insecurity, Command and Control Centre to be built and fully equipped to monitor, track and detect criminal activities coupled with so many innovations coming with the Operation Udo Ga Achi security network.
