Oganiru Anambra Caucus, South Africa Chapter, a pan Igbo organization in diaspora has declared that Anambra citizens will sleep with their two eyes closed, if Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah becomes the next governor.
The group also made a public declaration that it has thrown its weight behind the Governorship Aspiration of Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah for the upcoming 2025 governorship election in the state.
The group made the declarations through the Chairman, Chief Henry Onyekumnaru after its mid year caucus meeting held in Durban South Africa on the 9th day of July 2024.
Chief Henry Onyekumnarau praised the Senator who always availed himself in serving the public, more especially his constituents, Anambra community and Ndigbo as a whole.
He further stated that his outstanding performance in the senate as well as the empowerment projects in in Anambra State are numerous.
The security cameras he installed in Nnewi and other security measures including mobilization of the vigilantes in Nnewi and its environs has led to reduction of crime in that community and it is clear that when he becomes the Governor, Anambra people can sleep with their eyes closed".
In his words, "Anambra needs a leader who has the capacity to touch the lives of its citizens in a very best way and with all that Senator Ifeanyi Ubah has been doing, Anambra people are rest assured that he will reshape the state’s economy and place it on a higher pedestal.
We will mobilize forces and resources to stimulate development in the state when Senator Ifeanyi Ubah is elected the next Governor of the state.
The group also thanked Senator Ifeanyi Ubah for the listening ear which he granted Anambra State Former Political Appointees whose Severance Package have been delayed and denied by the present state government.
They also praised the leader of the former appointees Owelle Mbaso who is currently the Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President for his wisdom in bringing the group together and always speaking to the people in power when they go against the wish of the masses.
Oganiru Anambra Caucus South Africa Chapter overwhelmingly request the entire Anambra people to align with and support Senator Ifeanyi Ubah who is a needed Gem that has sustenance of good governance, stating that it is clear without ambiguity that he has the integrity, pedigree and visionary leadership acumen to drive the state to where it ought to be in terms of development in infrastructure, human capital, education, health, agriculture tourism and other sectors.
The group further postulated that it has already started mobilizing support for Senator Ifeanyi Ubah’s governorship ambition in diaspora and at home to ensure that Anambra people get a desired leader needed to actualize the dreams of the ordinary Anambra citizens.
