The Executive Mayor of Nnewi-South Local Government Area of Anambra State Hon. Van-George Chinedu Ezeogidi has inaugurated Ekwulumili Security Management and Finance Committee.
The inauguration which took place at the weekend was in compliance with the Anambra State Homeland Security Law which provided for the establishment of communities' security management and finance committees.
Nnewi-South executive chairman Hon. Van-George Chinedu Ezeogidi who presided over the inaugural ceremony, said the essence was to ensure improved security of lives and property in the community.
He therefore reminded the committee of the efforts of Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo's administration in securing the lives of Ndi-Anambra as well as eradication of crimes of all sorts from the nooks and crannies of the state.
Ezeogidi therefore charged the committee to discharge their assignments effectively and pledged the commitment of the council authority to the committee in order to strengthen the security framework in Ekwulumili community.
