Soludo Support Group (SSG), the flagship and foremost support group which was very instrumental to the emergence of Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo as governor of Anambra State is set to celebrate the governor's giant strides during his 3rd anniversary on March 17th, 2025.
National Convener of Soludo Support Group (SSG) and Chairman All Soludo Support Groups Chief Chinedu Nkemakonam Nwoye Glamour who disclosed it to HEADLINE NEWS exclusively, said the governor's 3rd anniversary would be showcasing of his monumental achievements in all sectors of the state economy as he opined that the governor's three years in office is more than the eight years of his predecessors.
Glamour told HEADLINE NEWS that having worked for his emergence as governor, they were taking stock of what he has done so as to celebrate with him because the governor, according to him, has performed excellently well in just three years in office.
Though Glamour stated that they were not surprised at his sterling performance considering what he has done before in his personal consultancy services and businesses. In the realm of security, Glamour who is also the governor's Chief Protocol Officer and Deputy Chief of Staff noted that Soludo didn't start fighting insecurity in Anambra lately.
He said that Governor Soludo started fighting insecurity right from his first day in office. That the first appointment Soludo made was to appoint his Security Adviser and began to tackle insecurity head-on. Glamour recalled that eight local government areas were under siege when Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo took over as governor of Anambra State.
He also recalled that some local government headquarters were burnt. According to him, Aguata, Ihiala, Nnewi-South and some other council secretariat were razed down by daredevil hoodlums but Soludo he said didn't surrender to the situation instead he fought tooth and nail to flush criminals out of the state having inherited insecurity at inception.
The chief protocol officer noted that Governor Soludo only changed gears with the introduction of the Homeland Security Law and restrategised for greater positive results as evident in what the Agunechemba squad and Operation Udo Ga Achi special intervention force are doing to reclaim Anambra State from non-state actors.
The SSG national convener who disclosed that over 700 kilometers of roads have been awarded under the present administration, cleared the air on what the state government is doing to redeem the state from the wiles of fake native doctors and fake traditional medicine practitioners.
He said that the governor was not clamping down on native doctors even though some of the native doctors were enablers of kidnappings and insecurity as an average kidnapper caught has a charm made for him by a native doctor.
He reiterated that government was not after native doctors and traditional worshippers instead government is taming those who are enablers of kidnappings and other heinous crimes.
The governor's Deputy Chief of Staff who maintained that government was not fighting native doctors and traditional worshippers, insisted that some of the things they indulged in were not igbo traditions as Igbo custom and tradition abhore money rituals (Oke-Ite) and the like.
That Soludo is cleansing and sanitizing Anambra State and not clamping down on native doctors and traditional worshippers, stressing that SSG is preparing to celebrate Soludo's three years in office which according to him is more than the eight years of his predecessors in terms of his achievements in infrastructure and other spheres of human endeavours.
