A chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra State and National Convener of APGA Apostles Forum Hon. Chief Nchekwube Anthony Dunga has declared that APGA Apostles will silence all opposition political parties in the state and convert them to the APGA family.
Dunga who made the declarative statement at the state assembly complex Awka on Tuesday while speaking to HEADLINE NEWS exclusively about APGA Apostles special summit slated for Friday 29th November 2024, maintained that the group will leave no stone unturned to ensure that Anambra is truly APGA land and not merely proclaiming it without concrete evidence on ground.
He said judging from the present status quo, Anambra State is not yet APGA land because statistics from elections conducted showed that a lot of work still needs to be done for Anambra State to be truly APGA land.
He therefore observed that one can not say categorically that Anambra is APGA land when APGA has only 18 legislators out of the 30 members in the current state legislature. That Anambra can not claim to be APGA land when it has only 3 or 4 House of Reps members out of 11 and no senator.
Dunga stated that the foregoing scenario does not in any way portray the fact that Anambra State is APGA land but according to him, APGA Apostles will ensure that the goal is achieved and they would begin with the forthcoming Anambra-South bye-election, declaring that APGA will win landslide.
Dunga also said that APGA will win the 2025 governorship election and also proceed to win all the state assembly seats, House of Reps seats and senatorial seats in Anambra in 2027, stressing that Anambra State must be truly APGA land and according to him, APGA Apostles will make it happen.
He therefore emphasized that there should be no oppositions in Anambra just as it is in Enugu State where the Peoples Democratic Party have consistently won all the elective positions from councilors to the governor of the state. That APGA Apostles must see to it that Anambra truly becomes APGA land.
Meanwhile the APGA Apostles National Convener said that the November 29th APGA Apostles Special Summit which would be held at the Professor Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre Awka would be groundbreaking because APGA Apostles have pledged their loyalty to the All Progressives Grand Alliance forever.
