RAYMOND OZOJI reports
The National Convener of APGA Apostles Forum Hon. Nchekwube Anthony Dunga has stated that Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, candidate of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) in the November 8th governorship election, grabbed the party's ticket by crook and that the process of his emergence was fraudulent.
Dunga who spoke exclusively to HEADLINE NEWS in Awka, emphasized that APC doesn't exist in Anambra State and that the party equally does not have the locus to win any election in the state. He said Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu grabbed APC ticket with money and also goes about sharing money in churches and other public places.
He stated that APC won't come second in the November 8th governorship election because the candidate of the party is not reliable and not trustworthy. That he is just using the election as a means to get his contracts right in Abuja.
The APGA chieftain noted that nobody is afraid of anything and Ndi-Anambra knows that the APGA-led administration in Anambra has been doing well and they are ready to continue with it, stressing that the votes that will come out now will be massive.
According to him, the party is targeting to secure over 350,000 votes in the governorship election as he believes that the governor's achievements will speak for them.
On the issue of whether the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has underdeveloped the state, the former state auditor-general of the party opined that other states are coming into Anambra to emulate what Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo is doing. He recalled how Anambra State was during the era of Chinwoke Mbadinuju and Chris Ngige when PDP ruled the state.
Dunga said that Anambra State now has a befitting Government House after 35 years coupled with other facilities there in. He noted that the House of Assembly and the Ekwueme Square are also being rebranded, adding that there has been drastic developments since APGA government came on board.
He stressed that all those defending Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu just want to collect money from him and after the election, they will run away and Ukachukwu will start pursuing them to their houses to collect his money back.
He said same way his Deputy Sen. Uche Ekwunife did to the people. Dunga stated that Ekwunife gave grants to constituents when she was the Senator representing Anambra-Central.That she told them it was federal government grants but when she left office and another person replaced her in the Senate, she started collecting the money back from those who benefited, saying that the money was a loan not a grant.
He said those affected in the Uche Ekwunife's scam cut across communities and that all those schemes will come against her now that she is the running to the APC candidate Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu for the November 8th governorship election.
The APGA bigwig maintained in as much as APC is a progressive political party, the candidate and his running mate for the Anambra Governorship Election are very unreliable individuals and can not stand the test of time.
He was of the opinion that APGA Apostles will do things differently during the campaigns to ensure that APGA and Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo are delivered with landslide victory.
